About The Costume Vault

Our Mission

To support dance studios, theatre groups, and the creative community by providing an easy-to-use platform for managing, selling, and sharing costumes — so they can spend less time buried in boxes and more time doing what they love.

Our Vision

To simplify costume management for the performing arts industry, offering tools and a shared marketplace that bring clarity, connection, and sustainability to an often-overlooked part of performance life.

Meet the Founders

The Costume Vault was created by Rebekah and Laura, long-time collaborators in branding, design, and web development. Over the years, we’ve worked with many dance schools and theatre groups to bring their identities to life — including the branding and website for Dance Arts Alliance.

Through these partnerships, one problem kept coming up:

“We have no proper way to manage our costumes.”

Studios were relying on spreadsheets, Trello boards, shared drives, expensive inventory software and group chats to track thousands of costumes, often with no easy way to sell or reuse them. There was no tailored solution for this industry — so we decided to build one.

We love solving creative problems with practical tools, and we’re excited to evolve The Costume Vault into something that truly serves the people behind the scenes of every performance.

Our Connection to Dance Arts Alliance

During the challenges of COVID, we saw first-hand how the performing arts industry struggled. That’s when we witnessed the birth of Dance Arts Alliance — founded by an incredible board to advocate for those who make the magic happen.

We donated our time to help create the DAA brand and website in its early stages, and our partnership continues today.

As strong supporters of the DAA mission, we offer exclusive discounts to DAA members and are committed to helping raise awareness of the association’s ongoing work in the sector.

Why It Matters

Behind every performance are hundreds of costumes, hours of prep, and often, a lot of chaos. Our goal is to turn that chaos into clarity — while supporting a more sustainable, community-connected way of working.
