• Interfere with the operation or security of the site
• Impersonate others or provide false information

3. Intellectual Property

All branding, designs, logos, and website content belong to The Costume Vault (excluding user-generated content). You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission.

4. Marketplace Structure

• All products are sold by third-party sellers.
• The Costume Vault does not validate, verify, or approve listings.
• We are not liable for product accuracy, legality, quality, or delivery.

5. Platform Availability

We do our best to ensure the site is available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the platform will always be error-free.

6. Fees and Payments

• We charge a commission to sellers (9% for free accounts, 6% for paid plans).
• Buyers do not pay additional platform fees.

7. Account Suspension

We may suspend or remove accounts that:

• Breach our terms or policies
• Receive ongoing unresolved complaints
• Upload prohibited or offensive content

9. Third-Party Tools

We use Stripe to process payments. By using our site, you also agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service.

Buyer Terms & Conditions

These Terms apply to all buyers using The Costume Vault (“we”, “us”, “our”), a marketplace connecting sellers (“Vault Owners”) with customers. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms:

1. Role of The Costume Vault

We provide a platform for independent sellers to list and sell costumes and related products. We do not own or sell any items ourselves. All sales and transactions are between you and the seller.

2. Purchasing on the Platform

• All prices are set by the seller and include applicable taxes (if enabled by the seller).
• Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
• You will receive an order confirmation and tax invoice directly from the seller.

3. Shipping

• Sellers must ship orders within 5 business days of purchase.
• Shipping methods, costs, and delivery timeframes are determined by the seller.
• Contact the seller directly for delivery updates or questions.

4. Refunds & Returns

• Each seller sets their own refund and return policy.
• You are responsible for reviewing the seller’s policy before purchase.
• The Costume Vault is not responsible for refunds, exchanges, or returns.

5. Digital Products

Some sellers may offer digital downloads. These are delivered electronically after payment. Digital purchases are non-refundable unless required by law.

6. Disputes

• All disputes must be resolved directly with the seller.
• We do not intervene in order issues, product quality, or refund requests.
• If a resolution isn’t reached, you may seek support from your bank or Stripe.

7. Account Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass or misuse seller communication channels
• Attempt fraudulent refunds or chargebacks
• Violate any laws while using the platform

8. Privacy

Your name, email, and shipping details are shared only with the seller for order fulfilment. Sellers may not use your information for marketing or unrelated contact.

Seller Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The Costume Vault! These Seller Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) outline your rights and responsibilities as a seller (“Vault Owner”) on our platform. By creating an account and listing products, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. About The Costume Vault

The Costume Vault (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a partnership business based in Victoria, Australia. We operate an online marketplace where independent sellers manage their own listings, payments, shipping, and communication with buyers. We do not sell or own any of the items listed on the platform.

2. Account & Eligibility

To sell on The Costume Vault, you must:

• Be 18 years or older.

• Provide accurate store and contact information.

• Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including tax laws.

3. Stripe Setup & Payment Responsibility

All sellers must connect a valid Stripe account to receive payments. You are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring your Stripe account is correctly set up.

• Configuring your tax settings in both Stripe and your Vault account.

• Complying with all local tax and business registration requirements.

We are not responsible for any misconfigured payment or tax settings.

4. Stripe Liability Acknowledgements

As part of our platform agreement with Stripe, sellers acknowledge:

• Negative Balance Liability: You are responsible for any negative balance that arises in your Stripe account, including chargebacks. If The Costume Vault incurs any costs as a result, you agree to reimburse us in full.

• Requirement Collection Acknowledgement: You agree that Stripe and The Costume Vault may require certain information or take collection action as part of the payment process, and you release The Costume Vault from any liability related to this.

5. Product Listings & Accuracy

You are responsible for:

• Accurately describing your products, including condition, size, and photos.

• Ensuring the products you list are your own and legal to sell.

• Updating stock availability and pricing promptly.

We do not moderate listings before they go live, but we reserve the right to remove any content we consider inappropriate or misleading at our sole discretion.

Image Rights & Copyright

By uploading images to The Costume Vault, you confirm that you are the owner of the image or have obtained full rights and permission to use it.
The use of copyrighted, trademarked, or unauthorized images (including promotional photos, logos, screenshots, or images found online) is strictly prohibited.
Any listings found to be using such material will be removed without notice, and repeat offenses may result in account suspension or termination.
The Costume Vault reserves the right to remove or request edits to any uploaded content that does not meet these standards.

6. Refunds & Returns

Refunds and returns are solely managed by you, the seller. You must:

• Clearly display your store’s refund and return policy.

• Handle any refund, exchange, or complaint directly with the buyer.

We provide policy templates to assist you, but it’s your responsibility to ensure they are implemented and followed.

7. Shipping & Fulfilment

You are responsible for:

• Setting accurate shipping options and costs in your listings.

• Shipping items within five (5) business days of the order confirmation.

• Providing tracking information, if applicable.

• Communicating with buyers if there are any delays.

The Costume Vault is not liable for any delivery issues, delays, or disputes.

8. Disputes

All disputes must be handled directly between you and the buyer. The Costume Vault does not mediate or intervene in disputes, including refund claims, item not received, or quality concerns.

9. Fees & Commission

We charge a commission on each sale:

• 9% for free seller accounts.

• 6% for paid plans (launching soon).

Fees are deducted automatically from your payout via Stripe. No additional listing fees apply at this time.

10. Prohibited Items

You may not list:

• Items you do not own or do not have rights to sell.

• Illegal, stolen, or counterfeit items.

• Adult or offensive content.

We reserve the right to remove listings or suspend accounts at our discretion.

11. Privacy & Buyer Data

You agree to only use buyer information for order fulfilment and communication about that order. You must not use buyer information for marketing or any unrelated purpose.

12. Platform Use & Availability

We aim to provide a reliable platform, but we do not guarantee continuous or error-free service. We may temporarily suspend the site for maintenance or security reasons.

13. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your seller account if:

• You violate these Terms.

• We receive unresolved complaints from buyers.

• You list prohibited or inaccurate content.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Costume Vault is not liable for:

• Lost sales or revenue.

• Errors in listings, payment, or shipping.

• Buyer disputes or chargebacks.

• Platform outages.

You agree to indemnify us against any loss arising from your misuse of the platform or breach of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Victoria.
